The upcoming PHP version 7 should come up with a twice as high performance as the previous version. Already a release candidate is to be published in June.
This fall the next version of the web application language PHP will have a significantly higher performance than the previous version. According to a report from “InfoWorld”
announced PHP founder Rasmus Lerdorf at the O’Reilly Fluent Conference announced that up to 100 percent higher performance is expected. ThisÂ update will up with an improved engine and a lower memory usage. With a first release candidate could be expected in June and the final version will be released in October.
With the upgrade, some functions of older PHP version is no longer supported. In particular, developers and site owners who are still working with the olderÂ version 4 would have to prepare themselves for adjustments.
